Edenbank Farm

Edenbank Farms was a pioneer farm, with A.C. Wells as its founder in 1866. It was well known throughout the Fraser Valley for their award winning Ayrshire Cattle and their Creamery store, which was the first one in Chilliwack.  After scoping out the CHILLIWACK SLOUGH, A.C. Wells bought Lot 38, which next to his sister’s farm. This lot contained 150 acres and sold for about $1.00/acre.  He worked tirelessly to clear and drain the land in order to farm animals and crops.  Lot 38 was on higher ground, which would prove to be a life saver when the Chilliwack River had devastating floods in 1875 and 1887.
